Ice Chips is proud to welcome reigning 2010 Olympic Champions
Xue Shen and Hongbo Zhao of China as the Special Guest Stars for our 99th production.
Xue and Hongbo are considered by many to be the greatest pair skating teams of all time,
with a power, precision and stunning athleticism that is virtually unmatched by any other pair team.
They are the first Chinese pair team to win a medal at the World Championships,
the first Chinese skaters in any discipline to win a medal at the Winter Olympic Games,
and the first Chinese skaters to become Olympic Champion ？ breaking nearly half a century of domination
by Soviet and Russian teams at last year’s 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver,
and setting a new record score under the ISU Judging system.
This performance will be Xue and Hongbo’s first appearance in Boston
since winning their gold medal victory at the 2010 Olympics.
