World War II Onlineとは、第二次世界大戦をモチーフにした、多人数参加型ネットワークゲーム。
1シアターごとに数千人までの参加が可能な戦場に陸、海、空…全ての軍事ユニットが
多数のプレイヤー達によって動かされ、巨大な仮想のバトルフィールドが構築されている。
現在、組織化された戦闘の為の旅団システムの導入が進められ大きく変わろうとしている。
集団戦の実現が上手く行くか注目される。
現在も発展中の非常にスケールの大きいこのゲームシステムは、マンネリ気味のゲーム業界に新しい風を巻き起こす!!
