Many cases have also been reported in the past.[348] It is reported that more than 80 deaths have been recorded; of these,
22 cases were recorded in Florida and 19 in Texas. However, when duplicate reports are excluded, four deaths were
recorded in Alabama, 10 in Florida, two in Georgia and Louisiana, and 14 in Texas.[349][350][351]
People can be educated and be made aware of the dangers of red imported fire ants.[352]
